First off, I would like to thank all of you who provided feedback in the survey from the 2/19 weekend prep. Many comments made the request for a more designated space for me to share my thoughts outside the newsletter. I have been very intentional to keep the discord simple and casual. The server is intended as a bonus community for newsletter members, where I can share thoughts as I see fit. While I do contribute almost daily, I do not want members to see the discord as a ‘signal service’ or become reliant on my updates. I value my time and the freedom to participate in the community because I enjoy it, not because I have to (this is a contributing factor to why I have kept the newsletter so affordable)…However, it has become clear that the thoughts I do share are easily lost in the chat. So, here’s my compromise:
I will be creating a “Chandler’s Updates” channel in the discord exclusively for my thoughts. Let me be clear – this is not a “signals” channel, it is simply to keep things more organized. This channel will consist of:
- A “morning prep” update on days that I am trading (>90% of days)
– This will be a brief update on market conditions, LTF trend and areas of interest
– This update will supplement the newsletter, not replace it. Make sure to read the newsletter to properly understand the context of the morning update - Any intraday thoughts I wish to share (at my leisure)
– These will typically be any significant structural changes, new areas of interest or lessons I believe may be helpful
– The frequency of these updates will fluctuate
These changes will start tomorrow and last as long as they remain beneficial
